Food Front-of-Package Nutrition Symbol Consumer Consultation

Health Canada is proposing a nutrition symbol that would be on the front of food packages. The symbol would help quickly identify foods that are high in:

  • saturated fat and/or
  • sugars and/or
  • sodium

The portal for the Food Front-of-Package Nutrition Symbol Consumer consultation is now closed for submissions. Thank you for your interest in Health Canada’s healthy eating consultations. Your responses will help guide the choice of a nutrition symbol for the front of food packages in Canada.
